Carmen

Railroad employees tasked with the inspection and repair of cars. Some railroads also utilize carmen for certain aspects of locomotive repair, such as maintenance of coupler systems and repairs involving wood (as found in some locomotive cabs).

At unionized facilities, carmen are typically represented by the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen.
