Track Geometry Car

A car equipped with sensors for measuring the geometry of the rails beneath it, such as rail head profile, cant,gauge, crosslevel, and numerous others.

Track geometry cars have traditionally required human operators and thus made from former passenger cars, but there are now fully autonomous versions made from box cars.
