Security and Emergenct Response Training Center (SERTC)

TTCI‘s Security and Emergency Response Training Center (SERTC) at TTC in Pueblo, Colorado provides hazmat training for first responders using hands-on full-scale simulated accident sites for various surface transportation scenarios. Training site includes a 44-car train derailment, highway tanker accident, and tactical hazardous material program.

Rip Track

Short for “Repair in Place”. A type of Car Shop where running repairs are made, commonly found in larger train yards.

Car Shop

A facility where freight cars are repaired. Includes Rip tracks, Project Shops, and Contract Shops.

Transportation Technology Center (TTC)

The Transportation Technology Center is the railroad industry’s research, development, and test facility near Pueblo, Colorado. The 52 square mile property is owned by the US Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and managed by Transportation Technology Center Incorporated (TTCI).
